Kisnard Online is a free to play, 2D fantasy/medieval pixel art mmorpg! Kisnard online was inspired by Dransik, Ashen Empire, Runescape, and Ultima Online. Adventure on quests, explore the huge world, specialize in various tradeskills, slay mythical monsters, team up to fight bosses, interact with many npcs, grow powerful in level and name, loot rare treasures, duel other players in live pvp, and much much more. Version 0.9.8 is live – *wiping my brow*. I can’t tell you how many times I tried to sit down and do this update, but just kept wanting to add more and more. Well it’s about time. I made some changes to the launcher files (KisnardOnline.bat, KisnardOnline.exe, and KisnardOnline.sh) which do not get auto updated when you run the game. For best results download a fresh copy of the Kisnard Online client from the downloads page. If you want to retain your window configuration save off the files in your “conf” folder. Also don’t forget to save your screenshots too.

Gameplay Changes
- Looted item in corpses show with a red border around them
- Changes to exp tables – all character’s stat point have been reset
- Double clicking to equip a ring will automatically go into the empty second slot if first slot has a ring already
- Ctrl clicking monsters/npcs now shows their level as well as health
- Weapon class skill levels will increase attack (skill / 4.0)
- Elemental skill levels will aid in blocking elemental hits (skill / 4.0)
- Bow Saw and Hand Saw are now Lumberjacking items
- Balanced many aspects of the game – tradeskill success rates, monster strength, etc.
Bug Fixes
- Character selection screen is updated when switching characters
- Window dragging is much faster (able to better keep up with fast mouse movements) – probably the best I can fix it
- Daily quest countdown timer is more fluid
- SFX/Music being at different volume levels
- Character window guild tag will update with changes (join guild, leave guild, etc.)
- Mobs properly targeting npcs now
- Healing exp not shown if someone heals you
- NPC and mobs randomly getting stuck in place
Spell Casting
Spell casting is working (hopefully bug free)! You can cast attack spells on yourself or others (players/monsters/npcs). You can cast buff spells on yourself or others (players only). Find spell scrolls from monsters in order to be able to unlock them in the spells window. You can also cast buffs on yourself or other (players only) with certain items in the game. They will be persistent upon logging off and back in. Their applied time will only countdown while you are logged in and playing the game. Eventually there may be buffs to exp, drops, and gold in the premium store – very minor non-game-breaking buffs that is.
Version 0.9.8 is coming really shortly – it brings with it a TON of new content. Many new map updates, MUSIC, quests, crafting recipes, site updates(mainly wiki), actions bar, spells window, spell casting, item buffs, and more. I just need to fix just a few more bugs and I will push it to PROD. Stay tuned!!
