Kisnard Online is a free to play, 2D fantasy/medieval pixel art mmorpg!  Kisnard online was inspired by Dransik, Ashen Empire, Runescape, and Ultima Online.  Adventure on quests, explore the huge world, specialize in various tradeskills, slay mythical monsters, team up to fight bosses, interact with many npcs, grow powerful in level and name, loot rare treasures, duel other players in live pvp, and much much more.  Kisnard Online is constantly being improved with new content and features.  All game related info will be posted here and on Discord.  Come join us in game!

44000 Lines of Code


Here’s to more and more lines of code!  I am still working hard at polishing the game (new art, new features, bug fixes, etc.) and the custom graphical user interface (GUI) is looking awesome.  I ran my code analytics tool just for kicks(and because my hands are cramping).

I can’t even believe that I am up to 44,000 lines of code so far.  That is wayyyy to many LOC.  And that is after I did some refactoring the other night.  This does not include all of the damage that the website and database typing has done to my hands… arthritis.

Four years old


I have been working on Kisnard Online now for four years. All of my recent updates have been based on polishing the game (new art, new features, bug fixes, etc.) so it fits suit that I have been working on a custom graphical user interface (GUI). Skinning Java swing elements was no easy task and required much custom code. I think the new look will be totally worth it. I took the time to write the code well so that I can completely customize it as I see fit.

  • Entire map(outline) has been drawn
  • WIP new city – Corsinth Castle – on the main island
  • Players can now go underground at certain places (ladders/caves/etc.)
  • NPC dialogs/quests will now show the required level if you don’t meet it

  • DEV/GMs can change their own or player’s levels (overall & skills)

  • Server stats are now saved, for each day, in the database (prettymuch everything is tracked – how many time players have mined, leveled, loged in, etc.)
  • Can now override players sprites
  • Players can change font sizes of some things (chat, healing/damage numbers, etc.)

Gameplay Changes

  • DEV/GMs can go invisible at will
  • Add new rarity level (COMMON = white, UNCOMMON = cyan, RARE = green, UBER = orange)
  • Minimap will not show when underground
  • Unable to see in buildings unless the door is open or character is standing next to window or door(with window)

Bug Fixes

  • Shop window will no longer switch to sell tab (when on buy tab) when moving something in your backpack
  • Fixed SSL server issues due to vulnerabilities found in OpenSSL
  • Fixed server logout announcements
